Fundraise with 50/50 for Your Charity

The Sens Foundation wants to give back to your organization. Are you a registered Canadian charity who benefits children and youth in Eastern Ontario or Western Quebec? If so, this program is for you.


To participate in the 50/50 program, charitable organizations must be registered with the Canada Revenue Agency and have a nine-digit BN number that is followed by "RR0001". If you are unsure about your organization's charitable status and/or number, please visit the CRA online. In addition, the focus of your charitable organization must fall under one of the following categories: education, youth program, or health and wellness initiatives.

Eligible groups must apply directly by filling out a 50/50 application form and submitting it to the Sens Foundation. Each charitable organization selected to participate must sign a Participant Agreement with the Sens Foundation. In addition, one contact of all selected charities will be required to attend an information session prior to the start of the season.

Before applying to participate, please review the following guidelines to determine if your organization can fulfill all the requirements for participation.


  • Participating charitable organizations must supply 15 volunteers on the 9 allocated game nights. Volunteers will be responsible for selling tickets and reconciling their cash. More details will be provided if your organization is selected to participate.
  • Volunteers must arrive 2 hours prior to the start of the game and will be expected to work until the third period, for a total commitment of approximately 5 hours.
  • All sellers must be 18 years of age or older.

The 50/50 program takes place at all Senators home games. The tickets are 3 for $5, 7 for $10 and 14 for $20. The 50/50 winner gets half of total sales and, depending on how much the total gross sales are for each evening each charitable group will be paid per volunteer. Please see below for the payment scale. Charitable participants have the opportunity to raise up to $10,000 through this fundraising opportunity.
