Taylor's Hair Affair
I took the initiative of shaving my head for prom because if there is one thing Morgan taught all of us it is that no matter what situation you are in, whether you’re short, tall, skinny, blonde, brunette or bald you are the most perfect version of yourself. I think a lot of people forget about that, especially at prom and it’s important that that lesson gets passed on. Not everybody has a Morgan in their life to guide them and it is my responsibility to do what my best friend taught me, for them.
I want to raise money for Rogers House because of all the places she’d been nowhere felt so much like home as it did. When she was first sick all she would say was ’I want to go home” thinking if she went home everything would go back to the way it was, because home was where she had last been normal. Rogers House gave my family hope that one day she could go home and it could be as easy as it was in Rogers House. We were no longer visiting her in a temporary hospital room but a warm and welcoming environment that was filled with her own belongings and not borrowed ones. I’m forever grateful that this home is where she was able to pass and to give back for her would be an amazing opportunity.
