Energizer Night Skate at NHL® All-Star
The Sens Foundation, Energizer(R) and the NHL(R) would like to thank you for your support and contributions to building outdoor skating facilities in eastern Ontario and western Quebec.
Unfortunately, inclement weather made it impossible to conduct the Energizer Night Skate at NHL All-Star as originally planned on the historic Rideau Canal. Further plans to skate on the newly constructed Rink of Dreams at Marion Dewer Plaza had to be modified due to additional weather issues.
For those that joined us at the rink of dreams, we witnessed a wave of positive energy. City Hall was aglow as children and youth took to the ice wearing Energizer headlamps and skated with Ottawa Senators NHL All-Star Forward Jason Spezza. Event participants were welcomed by Hockey Night in Canada personality PJ Stock who introduced Ottawa Senators Alumni Shean Donovan, Jason York, Mike Dagenais and Jason Smith in addition to 2010 women's hockey Olympians Jessie Vetter of USA Hockey, Caroline Ouelette and Meaghan Mikkelson Reid of Hockey Canada.
We will be scheduling Skate Kit pick-up days for those of you who didn’t have a chance to get one. We will send out that information over the coming days.
We once again, thank you for your support. Your registration and fundraising efforts will make a positive impact on our community. To learn more about Sens Foundations projects and where your support goes, visit www.sensfoundation.com.
