The Sens Foundation, a strategic partner of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, is led by a small team of fundraisers, event planners, and communications professionals, partnered with more than 2,500 community volunteers, who are passionately committed to raising funds that enable positive life changes for children in eastern Ontario and western Quebec in the areas of education, healthcare, sports and recreation.
The Sens Foundation is largely supported through event fundraising, corporate partnerships, and private donors. Over the past twenty years in partnership with the hockey club, alumni, corporate partners and fans, the Sens Foundation has given back nearly $70 million to this region.
The charity of choice of the Sens Foundation is Roger's House, a pediatric palliative care home located on the grounds of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). Annually, the Sens Foundation is committed to providing $750,000 of financial support to Roger's House. In addition to this financial commitment we look after the administration of all fundraising related initiatives on behalf of Roger's House.
In addition to the commitment to Roger’s House, we are proud to make a direct impact in the lives of so many each year. During the 2011-12 hockey season we will provide more than $1 million of support to more than 50 charitable organizations in the National Capital Region.
