Two (2) Supervisor Positions are currently available.

Main Role & Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the 50/50 Program Event Coordinator in all aspects of the event
  • Be responsible for supervising and monitoring of all activities of 50/50 raffle ticket sellers
  • Conduct or assist in seller training / briefings
  • Motivate and assist sellers to reach their full selling potential
  • Oversee seller sign-in and sign-out, and verify timesheets
  • Assist with the pre-event preparations, execution of game day logistics, and post-event reconciliation (i.e. ticket and machine set up & tear down, troubleshooting technology issues, etc)
  • Count and reconcile seller cash-outs and prepare nightly deposit
  • Complete claimant documentation and records
  • Liaise with Canadian Tire Centre security and guest services team members

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and engaging customer service skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills
  • Background or experience in retail sales
  • Assertive and approachable personality
  • Advanced technological fluency (including MS Word, Excel & internet)
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Excel in large crowds, working with minimal supervision
  • Responsible for the handling and counting of large sums of money, and thus be both trustworthy and accountable
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • A professional appearance and attitude
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Able to work all Ottawa Senators’ home game days (including up to 3 hours pre-game and 1.5 hour post-game)
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle is an asset
  • Able to provide a clear Criminal Records Check
50/50 Raffle Ticket Sellers - Ottawa Senators Foundation

The Ottawa Senators Foundation is looking for high-energy, approachable, motivated and accountable individuals who are necessarily Sens Fans, to join our 50/50 Raffle Staff as sellers for the 2017-18 hockey season.

Main Role & Responsibilities Include:

  • Use Mobile handheld or stationary point-of-sale (POS) device for the sale of 50/50 Raffle tickets
  • Engage with fans in-arena pre-game and during in-game to sell 50/50 Raffle tickets
  • Accurately handle the sale and distribution of the raffle ticket, adhering to Senators Foundation program guidelines, Canadian Tire Centre protocol, and the policies and procedures set out by the Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
  • Answer questions about the Ottawa Senators Foundation, the 50/50 program, and Responsible Gaming
  • Reconcile and be responsible for raffle ticket sales, voided transactions, and cash collected
  • Count and deposit all collected cash and return POS device to 50/50 Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Must be a ‘team player’ and always demonstrate respect for others – fans, co-workers, supervisors and other Canadian Tire Centre staff
  • Excellent communication and engaging customer service skills
  • An assertive and approachable personality
  • Basic technological fluency and aptitude
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Comfortable in large crowds, working with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable with stairs and remaining standing for several hours
  • Will be responsible for the handling and counting of large sums of money, and thus be both trustworthy and accountable
  • A professional appearance and attitude
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Available to work a minimum of 2/3 of the Ottawa Senators’ home games (i.e. 30 events during pre-season, regular season, playoffs)
  • Willing to work 4-hour shifts during evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle is an asset
  • Able to provide a clear Criminal Records Check
